Doug Chamberlin has, over the years, been an A-list Hollywood screenwriter, a university professor, a full-time investor, a hiking guide author, an independent publisher, an infopreneur, a nomad, and a "hilariously unsuccessful" house flipper.
He has written numerous screenplays, television episodes, sketches, and television scripts. Most notably, Doug co-wrote the screenplay for "Toy Story 2" - a film which earned both huge box office success and widespread critical acclaim (it has a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, frequently appears on lists of the greatest animated films ever made, and earned the Golden Globe Award for Best Picture: Musical or Comedy, in 1999).
With his wife Caroline, Doug co-authored "The Complete Hiker's Guide to the Backbone Trail" - the second edition of which was published in 2021.
